All children were born with an innate love for music which needs to be developed as he grows older. Playing music is one way to enrich his ear for music. Another is to train him in playing various musical instruments.
Make sure that there are musical instruments that your child can play in your own home. At this point, you do not need to purchase expensive instruments. Check out yard sales or thrift shops for secondhand guitars and pianos or online sites that have bongo drums for sale. The key factor here is to let your child explore the sound each instrument produces. By exposing him to varied instruments and genres, you widen his knowledge of music and spark his interest in the world of notes.
